15-16g, 3.5 (unchanged from before), 19/9/2011 – very very rich, smooth, wonderful crema
BOLIVIA JUANA MAMANI (Monmouth) (too expensive for resale, private stash)
15g, 1.5-2, not firm tamp, very nice acidicity, wonderful in cappucino, not for the uninitiated as espresso, nice lower caffeine content, smooth aftertaste
Need trials at coarser grinds to see if acidicity can be reined in a bit
JAVA BLAWAN ESTATE (Londinium)
11g, 0.25, light tamp, extract 11-12g of coffee (28sec, runs v slow) SSB
2ways to differ, but works better on Mazzer
Single, use Small reg basket, light tamping extract 11-12g of coffee (28sec, runs v slow) take away well before finish
Add 50g milk
Makes very small but sweet cup, best use espresso paper cup for this
Double in SDB
14g at 0.25 grinder setting light tamp, extract 20g (runs really long, take out after 20s of ca 41-45s)
Add 120g Milk

Then pull away around 32-35sec

Still w food crema.
Espresso : fruity/ sharp acidicty but w bit of marmalade Seville orange peel sharpness
w milk: very sweet aromatic ‘coffee’ like
Almond, caramel
When cool down a bit, a light iron metallic taste come through a bit. Roast : looks extremely dark but once ground colour looks medium to dark
